Over the centuries, and particularly from the late nineteenth century onward, the notion of objective beauty has been increasingly challenged by artistic and philosophical movements that shifted attention toward the subjectivity of human experience.
From this perspective, beauty, meaning, and value are no longer understood as universal aesthetic criteria rooted in classical ideals, but as fluid and evolving phenomena shaped by individual perception, emotion, experience, and cultural context.
At the heart of "The Subjective Dimension of Beauty" lies the belief that reality is shaped by ideas and concepts in a continual process of transformation.
As human consciousness evolves, so too does our understanding of beauty. Through this ongoing metamorphosis, beauty becomes increasingly diverse, inclusive, and open to interpretation, reflecting the evolving relationship between the observer and the observed.

"The Subjective Dimension of Beauty" draws upon multiple layers of reference, engaging with the works of masters of the Modern era (c. 1860s–1970s), including Paul Gauguin, Pablo Picasso, Giorgio de Chirico, René Magritte, Henri Matisse, Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, Amedeo Modigliani, Frida Kahlo, Egon Schiele, and Hishida Shunsō, as well as the enduring visual language of classical sculpture.
